"All life is precious in the Light's eyes, child. And it is my duty to help any Chiildren of the Light that may need my help." She offered the girl a hand to help her stand. There was no wind, but the leaves of a nearby bush rustled. She resisted looking in thier direction. She knew the wolf was still there, but she had more important things to deal with now. "Tell me your problem, I swear by The Light and my hope for salvation and rebirth that I will help you in anyway I can."

Akira grabbed the elf's hand and pulled herself up. Then, she looked into the elf's eyes and shook her head. "I'm not sure if you will want to help me. I have revenge in my heart. And I wander around endlessly, looking to fulfill it." A frown appeared on her face, as she looked away. Instead, Akira looked over to where she had heard leaves rustling. The elf must have heard it, but she chose to ignore it. What was that?

[alright, i'm gonna get off for now. but i'll be on later]

Tsarra's smile turned sad when she heard the girl's response. "Revenge takes as high of a tole on you as it does your opponent. I will not try to disuade you, but keep that in mind." She saw the girl look over at the bush. She hoped she hadn't seen the wolf. From what she knew, humans were a jumpy race. "You can travel with me, if you like. You needn't be alone. Perhaps in time, your desire for vengence will fade."

Rellik stepped softly, sneaking closer to the elf and her new (and dazed) companion... they walked towards him... Damn... He needed to move--

A small sniffle disrupted his thought process. A fair female human sat on her hands and knees, sobbing. The elf and her companion approached her. They began to talk...

Rellik moved closer, cringing as he rustled leaves on the bushes surrounding him. The elf glances his way. Stop....
She looked away. He crept forward.
Then the human looked his way. Stop!
She turned and continued talking to the elf. He decided it would be best to stay where he was... in this form, though, he could only see very well... his ears had trouble picking up sound from this distance... all he heard was a jumble of words.

He sat and watched...

Little did any of them know that the gray beast that Rellik had met earlier was creeping ever closer to them... thirsty for blood.

Akira looked away from the bush and just avoided the elf's eyes, by looking at everything else but the elf. "I know that you must think badly of me for wanting to take vengeance. However, it is the only thing that I live for anymore. It is my last hope and comfort. I have to justify something." Then, Akira finally looked at her again and nodded. "And yes, I would be glad to travel with you. I'd very much like a companion. It gets very lonely being all alone. My name is Akira Matsuzawa, by the way." As she finished talking, she held out a hand.

Tsarra smiled as the girl agreed to travel with her. She was riight -- it was not fun to be alone. She took Akira's hand and gave it a friendly shake. "And I am Tsarra Whitewood. It is my pleasure to meet you." She stood up very staight all of the sudden, and looked around worridly. The plants had stayed silent for the wolf, but they screamed now. Something was near. Something evil.

[sorry it's so short. ^^; oh, and I might be gone for a few days. I'm moving, and I don't know when I'll be able to get on next.]

Rellik sat still, watching. The two women stopped talking... the elf looked worried. Rellik sniffed the air... a familiar scent came closer....

The gray wolf!!

Rellik looked around frantically... he hoped it wouldn't hurt them... it would be his fault! He led it here!! He had to do something...

"I-It's a gray wolf! You should... run! Get out of here!" He yelled, trying to sound majestic, like the trees. He couldn't let them see him...

"Go!"

The scent grew closer.

Tsarra jumped a bit as a voice yelled, seeming to come from everywhere. She knew it didn't belong to either of her companions, but niether did it come from the plants. The only other thing it could be was the wolf. . . but that made no sense. Regardless, she decided it would be best to heed it's warning. She grabed Akira's hand, and ran. As she pased, she also grabbed hold of the mystery man's arm as well.

Rellik sighed with relief as the elf hastily led away her new companions. Good... He stood and looked around, his white eyes reflecting against the leaves. The gray wolf had to be around here somewhere.....

A growl came from behind him.

He turned quickly, and there it was. white fangs glistening with saliva.
"So you found me..." Rellik said nervously. Could he fight? He didn't know... He'd never really been in a fight before...
He backed away, the gray wolf following him. It snarled, and leaped towards Rellik, tackling him to the ground. Rellik howled and flailed about, snapping his teeth at the beast. He caught skin between his jaws and dug his long teeth in, tearing. The beast roared, and a large paw thudded against Rellik's ribcage. Fear and pain twisted his gut... and he felt himself getting stronger. He growled a deep snarl and attacked the beast ferociously and rather blindly.
Their snarls and growls echoed between the trees as they fought...

Akira shook Tsarra's hand. "It is a pleasure to meet yo-" But suddenly, someone unseen yelled and cut her off. The young human looked around worriedly. Wolf? She was armed, and was ready to defend herself. However, Akira was still a little uneasy. Wolves were not creatures to be taken lightly, especially if there were more than one of them. But from the way the person yelled at them, there was only one wolf. The voice of the unseen person seemed friendly enough. After all, it had just warned them and told them to run.

Akira felt Tsarra tug her away. She ran backwards after her reluctantly, still looking around. Akira wanted to see the person who had warned them. Who had it been? Finally giving it up when she almost fell onto the ground, Akira turned around and ran after the elf tugging her along. Silently, she prayed the person who gave them a chance to run away wouldn't be eaten alive by the life-threatening gray wolf.

Tsarra stubmled on a root, nearly bringing her companion down with her. She could hear growling behind her, and it brought her to an abrubt stop. What was she doing? She was suposed to be a protector of the Light! And she was running away from a wolf? She hesitated, not sure what to do. She didn't want to drag Akira into a possibly dangerous situation. She dropped the girls hand, and began running back towards the sounds of fighting. She hid in the bushes, unsure what to do at first. She could hardly believe what she was seeing. The wolf from before was fighting with an unknown grey wolf. It seemed to be winning, too. She tried to reach out to the beasts, to calm them, but it didn't work. She was shocked to see that the black wolf's mind was blocked from her powers, much like an elf's would be. The other was simply mad. There was no soothing a mind that would not -- could not -- see reason. She was torn. She hated to see one of her beloved creatures killed, but at the same time, she knew that she could not let it go. It would kill anything in it's path. Her hands worked furiously, forming the signs of a spell she had hoped never to have to use. She found the center of the creature's mind and, with her power, squeezed. The wolf spazmed a bit, then was dead. She stumbled backwards, tears running, uncontrolable, down her face.

Akira watched the elf turn around and run back. Silently, she stood there for a moment. "Well, I should go back too, I guess." Then, she ran after the elf. But then, she stopped, seeing what the elf was doing. The wolf was twitched for a few seconds, then fell dead. The elf fell backwards, and Akira ran forward. She bent down on her knees and put a hand on the elf's shoulder. "Oh, don't cry. That wolf wasn't very nice anyway." She said, trying to comfort the elf, but not doing a very good job at it. At least she was trying, though. Akira could have laughed instead. But she wouldn't do that. That would just be mean, very mean.

Rellik felt the presence of the elf come closer as he fought, and watched the wolf die. A soft sob came from behind a bush, and a comforting voice spoke quietly. Was someone hurt?! Without thinking, he poked his black muzzle through the leaves and found himself staring at two women; one elf, and one human. Both were beautiful. The mysterious man was no where to be seen...

"Are.... are you okay?!" he asked nervously, forgetting about his demonic appearance. His words were soft and echoed off the trees.

Tsarra put her hand on top of the human's, wishing she could tell her she was alright. But she wasn't. She had never before taken the life of any living creature. She shrank back as a black muzzle suddenly appeared out of the bush in front of her. A voice came from the creature. Two possibilities came to Tsarra's mind. This beast was either demon or god. And since it had tried to warn them. . . "Oh great god of the forest, please do not be upset with this lowly one!" She cried, staring up at the large black wolf. If wolfs could be said to have expressions, this one looked slightly baffled.
